If all the Fighting Souls have been knocked out on either side and the main character or opponent is still standing, the match still continues. The match ends when the main character or main opponent is knocked out, which happens when their health point gauge is empty. To use finishing skills that have the "FG" (Finish Gauge) on the icon, it requires the Finish Gauge to be filled, which gets fills as the Fighting Soul gets hit or if it is it's turn. Both the Fighting Souls and the main character have their Fighting Point gauge filled when a match starts. Skills require energy called "Fighting Points (FP)" to be used. "Attack" is a normal attack to a selected opponent, "Skill" allows the player to attack using the skills that the Fighting Souls and main character have, "Auto" is an auto-battle option to have the AI pick options for the player. The player can choose "Attack", "Skill", or "Auto". If there are enemy Fighting Souls that aren't defeated, the main opponent can not be selected, however, the main opponent can still get damaged by skills that hit multiple opponents. Once every turn is complete, a new round begins. Both sides take turns choosing an action to take, with each Fighting Soul and the main character having a turn.
